OPI Liquid Sand Nail Polishes Review

Hello, all! Hope you had a great weekend. On Thursday a Homegoods and Marshalls opened here in my town, so over the weekend my boyfriend and I ventured over to check out both stores. There’s some great stuff in there! I can’t wait to go back and check them out again soon. For now, the only thing I bought there was a set of nail polishes from OPI because it was such a great deal! I love OPI nail polishes because they’re such good quality, and the colors are so gorgeous.

These two polishes came in a set on clearance for $7.99, and normally OPI polishes are $8 or $9 a piece, so I couldn’t pass this up! They’re both Liquid Sand polishes, which means they have a rough texture and you can’t apply a top coat or it’ll mess up the formula. I own one other Liquid Sand polish, and I love it so I was excited to try out other colors.

This was the set they came in, and they’re full size, which is such a good deal! I put two coats of each color on my nails, and I love how they look together. I think if I had to do one by myself, I’d pick the silver color called It’s Frosty Outside over the black color called Emotions, but they’re both beautiful on the nails.

Here’s a photo with flash. The one I took without flash didn’t turn out as well, and then my phone died. Sorry! Anyway, I think this gives a good look at the polishes. They look multi-dimensional since they’re the liquid sand formula. I’d recommend these to anybody looking for a good new polish for sure.

Have you guys tried any Liquid Sand polishes before? What are your thoughts?

Nail Polish of the Week – May 3

Happy weekend! Hope everyone is doing well. I only tried out one polish combination this week, but I’ve really been loving it! What polishes have you tried out this week?

I love this polish! It’s a little mini size, and the brush is actually a pretty good size. The color is a beautiful light mid-toned purple, and it looks gorgeous on my nails.

I love this polish too! I haven’t used it in a while, and I think it will work as a fun accent nail color for spring and summer looks. It also looks really nice on all nails if you’re looking for a nice, neutral look.

Blogger Basket Swap!

I just participated in my very first activity with other bloggers, and it was a Basket Swap. It was so much fun! I was paired up with two people, one of whom sent me a basket and one of whom I sent a basket to. Here is the basket I received from Bekah Walsh at Bekah’s Resolve! She gave me so many amazing beauty products (and chocolate!), and I can’t wait to try all of these out. I got excited so I took everything out of the box before I took a picture, sorry about that, but anyway here we go!

I can’t wait to try out all of these products! I haven’t tried anything that she sent me before, so it’s going to be super fun to experiment with some new products. Thanks so much, Bekah, for sending me such a great basket! I had a great time participating in this swap, and I definitely look forward to doing this again in the future 🙂

Nail Polish of the Week – April 12

This week was just crazy busy, so I didn’t have much downtime to do my nails. I only tried one polish this week, and I hated it, so this post will be short and sweet (or short and honest, I suppose).

Sorry the pictures aren’t very good. I didn’t even bother to clean up the polish on the skin around my nails because I knew I would just take it right off. I have an OPI nail polish that”s like liquid sand, which is similar to this, and I love that one. This one was just a big fail. The color of the polish and the little beads just didn’t work for me, and the texture was much more rough than my OPI polish, which made me feel like it would get caught on my clothing or something during the day. I was so psyched to get a full-size nail polish in my Ipsy bag last month, but the product just didn’t do it for me.

Nail Polish of the Week – April 5

I’m sorry, I totally failed to take a picture of this nail polish on my nails this week! But I thought it would still be fun to show you what colors I used. The Madison Ave-Hue is the first Essie polish I’ve ever tried, and I love the color because it’s almost like a dark Barbie pink with a little bit of shimmer, but it’s very subtle. As for the Siren color, I’ve had it for years and I used it as an accent nail for  a fun pop of color reminiscent of spring and summer to my nails.

Nail Polish of the Week – March 29

It’s no secret that I love nail polish, so I figured it would be fun to try doing posts about what polishes I loved over the past week. Sometimes I change up my nail polish a lot, so some weeks may have multiple polishes listed and others might just have one, but that’s what makes it fun I think. So here we go!
